Director Samir Karnik's second outing is truly unconventional. It's a simple story with no commercial paraphernalia and trappings, The film is a class example of a ‘good theme gone haywire’. The film not only lacked soul but also lacked the real Bobby Deol. After watching this film, I only wished Bobby Deol didn’t play himself. A complete wash off barring the screen presence of child artist, Dwij Yadav.

The film is the story of Nanhe, a child living with his mother, sister and a camel in the desert land of Jaisalmer and makes his livelihood by renting his camel to the tourists. The only friend Nanhe ever had was Bobby Deol, the actor with whom he once worked in a film sequence. Nanhe’s life draws all the inspirations and the motivation from his friend and idol, Bobby Deol.

The film has a strong and well thought-over concept where Bobby Deol plays himself for the first time in a film. But, the child artist outshines the star and gets a hands down vote as the only worthy mention from the film. The direction lacks the panache thats generally associated with all the Bollywood analysts turned filmmakers.

Cinematography has an average appeal considering the lack of visual variety offered due to the exclusive locales of the deserts. The music composition was also mediocre keeping in mind that contemporary musical ace Himesh was the composer.

The film was a visible failure and also lacked the emotional punch which was otherwise expected from this sort of storyline.

With very less to offer to keep the viewers glued to their seats, the film is way too predictable and don’t be surprised if the person beside you is caught napping in the mid-way of the film’s screening.
