Taare Zameen Par
Debutant director Aamir Khan directs Taare Zameen Par. The film star Aamir Khan in the main lead who will be playing the teacher to a dyslexic child played by Darsheel Safary also produced by Aamir, the film have the music by the trio, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy with lyrics by Prasoon Joshi. Aamir seems upbeat about his film, and calls it unique.
Tisca Chopra the actress in the film is an all-rounder. In a short time this talented actress has done films, television and theatre.
After her first break in Platform with Ajay Devgan she went on to star in other films like Hyderabad Blues II, Loknayak Jai Prakash Narayan and Cape Karma. Her foray in television was with Balaji Telefims' Kahanii Ghar Ghar Kii as Mallika and as Urvash in Sarrkar
She has also dabbled in theatre in plays like Mahatma v/s Gandhi and Salesman Ramlal.
Taare Zameen Par will be Tisca first big movie where she plays one of the four principal characters in the film.
Taare Zameen Par is Aamir Khan’s first directorial venture. The movie is about special children and Aamir plays the tutor of one such special child.
Amol Gupte is the creative genius behind Taare Zameen Par. The story is born out of his close association with children and his dream of narrating the story of a child’s world. He was originally supposed to direct the movie and Aamir was only involved as a producer and an actor but later Amol asked Aamir to take over the direction too.
Amol is now the writer and the creative director of the movie while his wife, Deepa Bhatia, is the editor of the movie.

Tracing the journey of an art teacher Ram Shankar Nikumbh (Aamir Khan) and his eight-year-old student, Ishaan Awasthi (Darshal Safary) is Taare Zameen Par. Ishaan, who is more fascinated with colours, fish, dogs and kites somehow fails to fit into a world where grades are the only things that matter. His troubles get worse when he is packed off to a boarding school, where he has to cope with another trauma – that of staying away from his family. But just when Ishaan feels he has nothing to look forward to, his art teacher Ram Shankar Nikumbh enters the scene and tries to understand why the young fellow is so unhappy. And with time, patience and care, he ultimately helps Ishaan find himself.
