The Plot: With the Ice Age at its end, Diego (Leary), Manfred (Romano), and Sid (Leguizamo) are worried that the melting ice will destroy their valley. The animals decide to take it upon themselves to unite and warn everyone about the situation.

When the increasing heat of the planet starts to melt their icy home, woolly mammoth Manny (voiced by Ray Romano), saber-toothed tiger Diego (Denis Leary), and Sid the sloth (John Leguizamo) decide to clear out of the valley and head to higher ground.

Despondent over the suggestion that he's the last of his kind, Manny is astonished to meet Ellie (Queen Latifah), another mammoth, and her two possum "brothers" on their journey. Looking to build a relationship with Ellie, Manny's plans are put on hold as the waters rise, and new aquatic enemies go on the hunt.  more..

It’s an age-old tale (approximately 2million years at least) but it’s a good one… Boy mammoth meets girl mammoth, girl mammoth thinks she’s a possum, he tells her that she has “a big butt”. She’s shy but likes the attention and tells him “you’re just saying that!” “No,” he continues, “it really is huge!” which amazingly helps win her heart. I don’t actually recommend any non-mammoths trying that line as it certainly didn’t work on my Mrs (mainly because my wife’s behind is a lovely pert work of art of course), but hey… more..

Only Scrat, the ferocious little sabre-toothed squirrel, retains his magic from the original "Ice Age" (2002). Most of the other characters are back in "Ice Age: The Meltdown," but their story is more of a slog than a sprint. Remarkable, that they're still around although tens of thousands of years must have passed since the previous film. But if I am going to require logical continuity in an animated comedy, I might as well admit that Daffy Duck is not real, and that I refuse to do. more..
