The director Aku Akbar touched an interesting subject and tackled the story well. The movie is about abortion and the feelings of the foetus and the revenge and thirst for a mother touch. Akbar tried his best to convey a good message on anti-abortion but it did not catch the public.
The movie concentrated on the dealing with demons of abortion which was covered in the first half itself but the second half the movie was little bit dragged and confused the theme. In the present days abortion is not a big problem for most of the couples but its always a big issue. The people think they are not committing any crime with this act but here they do not think that a life is been taken away.
This message is also covered in the movie by anupam kher plays a father roles and tries to convince his son Atul Kulkarni who does not want the child to be born as he still is in his first stage of career. Though the message is good it is not shown is a good way in the movie. They are many loopholes in the script which does not have any sense. It is sad, as this is a terrific subject and Akbar has made a mess of it and those who see GAURI will certainly have a different thinking on abortion. Frankly, you can give this one a miss instead of messing with it.
