Actress Natalie Portman has laughed off her reputation as a showbiz puritan, insisting she is wild on the sly.

The Closer star is rarely seen tumbling out of nightclubs drunk, but she claims she still has fun away from the prying eyes of the press.

Portman confesses, “I’ve had a few drunken nights in my life. I’m not a puritan. I simply haven’t made a lifestyle out of it. So people always assume that I’m pretty boring. I hope I’m not.”
