The church committee is still waiting for kneeler cushions promised by Hurley and hubby to the parish of Winchcombe, in Gloucestershire, UK. The handcrafted cushions are to be donated to St Mary’s Chapel on the grounds of Sudeley Castle.
The small town of Winchcombe became famous when world media descended on the castle in March 2006, where the former model walked down the aisle and wed businessman Nayar.
Hurley and Nayar were blessed by local vicar Rev John Partington in St Mary’s Chapel on the grounds of the 15th century castle, after the couple’s civil wedding in the castle’s library, conducted by a local registrar. The wedding was followed by an extravagant party.
All couples who get married at the church are asked for a donation of up to £1,000 (Rs 76,817 approximately).
