Born in Barranquilla (Colombia) on July 10, 1972, Sofia Vergara enjoyed a happy fun-filled childhood together with her five brothers and sisters and many cousins. "Barbies were my obsession", says "La Toti", her family's nickname for her. As a child she was quiet and very studious; she loved everything having to do with music, as her whole family sings, dances and plays a musical instrument. Like any little girl her age, her favorite group was "Menudo". When she was little, she had a good time on weekends on her father's farm in Magdalena, where she rode horses, swam in the river and "chased chickens", as she herself commented.
She went to Marymount, a private bilingual elementary school, which is why she speaks English. Sofia places great value on friendship. "I have lifelong friends, very close friends with whom I get together every time I go back to Colombia", she tells us. "I was never your typical heartbreaker." Sofia had her first boyfriend when she was 14 and he is the father of her only son and light of her life, Manolo, now 8."I got married when I was 18 years old and very much in love." Speaking to Sofia, one notices the love she feels for her son and her delight in motherhood. "Eventually, I'd like to have another child, preferably a girl." On her pregnancy, she comments: "I looked really funny; very skinny and with a huge belly. |

Screen siren, opinionated diva, and one of the few actresses in Hollywood who can claim to be both a Paul Verhoeven muse and a MENSA member, Sharon Stone is nothing if not a legend in her own right. Name : Sharon Stone Profession : Actress, Producer Date of Birth : March 10, 1958 Place of Birth : Meadville, Pa., USA Sign : Sun in Pisces, Moon in Sagittarius Education : Attended Edinboro State University Fan Mail : C/O PMK 955 S. Carillo Dr., Suite 200 Los Angeles, CA 90048 USA Screen siren, opinionated diva, and one of the few actresses in Hollywood who can claim to be both a Paul Verhoeven muse and a MENSA member, Sharon Stone is nothing if not a legend in her own right. Beginning with her notorious disinclination to wear underwear during a police interrogation in Basic Instinct, Stone went on to become one of the most talked-about actresses of the 1990s, earning both admiration and infamy for her on- and off-screen personae.Almost as famous as Stone's glamorous image are her working-class roots. Born in the Northwest Pennsylvania town of Meadville on March 10, 1958, Stone grew up a bookworm in a large family. Highly intelligent in addition to being a local beauty pageant queen, she won a scholarship to Pennsylvania's Edinboro University when she was fifteen. After studying creative writing and fine arts, she decided to pursue a modeling career, and, after moving to New York, she signed on with the Eileen Ford agency. Stone became a successful model by the late 1970s, appearing in print and television ads for Clairol, Revlon, and Diet Coke. In 1980, Stone branched out into acting, making her screen debut as the "pretty girl on train" in Woody Allen's Stardust Memories. Following this role, she spent the 1980s appearing in one forgettable film after another, often cast as the stereotypical blonde bimbo. She finally got a break in 1990, when she appeared as Arnold |

She tackles difficult subjects head-on, wrapping the spare lyrics in angular melodies which stick in the mind. Name : Sheryl Suzanne Crow Profession : actress, song writer, singer Date of Birth : February 11, 1962 Place of Birth : Kennett, Missouri Height : 5' 3 1/2'' Claim to fame : Album: Tuesday Night Music Club
11 February 1962, Kennett, Missouri, USA. Sheryl Crow's asymmetric and abrasive songwriting is not the stuff for lazy listeners. She tackles difficult subjects head-on, wrapping the spare lyrics in angular melodies which stick in the mind. Raised in small town Missouri, Crow's father was a "driven" lawyer who prosecuted the Ku Klux Klan for ballot-rigging, and defended civil rights in many cases. Both he and Crow's mother played in swing bands, she as vocalist, he as a trumpeter with his close friend Leo. After Leo's sudden death, Wendell put away his trumpet and did not play again until his daughter recorded the tribute song, "We Do What We Can'. The Crow household also echoed to the sound of an ancient Magnavox record player, belting out her parents" recordings of the Beatles, Bob Dylan, James Taylor and the Rolling Stones. Crow arrived in Los Angeles from St Louis in 1986 with $10,000 savings, having broken up with her boyfriend, and determined to be a musician. A classical music degree from Missouri State University and singing with college band Kashmir provided the credentials, but with her savings gone Crow branched out into session work. She soon became one of the most respected and sought-after support artists in LA, working with Dylan, Eric Clapton, Stevie Wonder, Rod Stewart, George Harrison, Don Henley, John Hiatt, Joe Cocker and Sinéad O'Connor.Bette Midler and Wynonna also recorded her songs. It had taken Crow over five years to achieve this status, pulling herself back from the brink of despair and over-indulgence at the end of the eighties. This crisis in her life was a consequence of her first big break, an 18-month stint hacking round the world as a backing vocalist on Michael Jackson's Bad tour. Three nights a week Jackson, all leather and buckles, stroked the thigh of Shirley (sic) Crow, all leather and lace, as they performed "I Just Can't Stop Loving You". However, Crow's vocal ability impressed enough rock luminaries that many doors were open to her when she eventually returned to LA. |
