Working abroad is a unique way of getting
to know another country and its people. At work you
are often integrated into the culture in a way different
than that of the study abroad student. As a contributing
member of the local community, you have an "excuse"
for being there and a great vehicle for interacting
with the people on a daily basis.
Options for working abroad are not limited to simply
finding summer jobs: there are volunteer programs, internships,
teaching positions (both English and others), and regular
career opportunities.
